Frank Valentic, Director of Advantage Property Consulting (pictured above with his wife Michelle), was awarded Australian Buyers Agent of the Year at the Australian Real Estate Business Awards at The Star Hotel in Sydney on Thursday evening. The prestigious awards ceremony recognises the industry’s finest real estate agents, property managers and principals as well as the leading networks.

Those who have seen Frank bidding on ‘The Block’ series or at auctions throughout Melbourne over the years would have witnessed his competitive instincts and energetic nature first hand. His wealth of experience and knowledge of the property market has resulted in him having purchased thousands of properties on behalf of clients. Many of whom, consistently refer and are repeat clients having built successful investment portfolios through Frank’s guidance. 

In a humbling acceptance speech Frank thanked his wife Michelle for the running of their business over the last 15 years, his committed staff members, wonderful clients and dedicated the win to his deceased mother whose encouragement and unfortunate passing sixteen years at the age of only 48 fuelled his desire to follow his passion.

The win is a testament to the innovation and energy Frank has introduced to both his business and the Buyers Advocacy industry and his never ending pursuit of achievement for his clients. Having built his own substantial property portfolio, Frank is able to pass his firsthand knowledge and experience to his clients. That experience has also provided him with an innate ability to determine whether or not a property is ‘investment grade’ and provide his clients with advice on how to add value to investments such as subdivisions, developments and renovations.

Frank consistently contributes to the industry serving as a committee member of the REIV Buyer’s Agent Chapter for ten years and presenting regularly at Expos and Seminars. He is frequently sought after for commentary on the property market by various media and writes regular articles for various blogs and newspaper publications.

Frank states, “The most essential role of a buyer’s agent is to ensure the client makes a well-informed, rather than emotional property purchase to safeguard their financial future. Whether the client is an investor or a home buyer, it is imperative to make smart decisions. A buyer’s agent ensures the purchaser has an independent representative on their side throughout the tedious property search, essential negotiation stage and then oversees the process through to settlement".
