Why this classic look with a contemporary twist is all the rage

The weather may be cold and wet, but if you are succumbing to the winter blues you may need to perk up your interior space.

The Hamptons style is easily reflected throughout the coastal towns of America and has seen a rise in popularity along the coast of Australia. It’s a great style to embrace to make your home feel like you are on a permanent holiday.  The style is timeless and lends itself on homewares and beach hues which can easily be implemented into your current décor. It also has a huge selling feature so if you are looking to style your abode to sell, this could be the style for you!

Beach hues, blues and crisp whites

Follow this colour palette and you are on route to success. Teaming natural textures and structured stripes are easy ways to inject this style into your home. Use blue accent cushions in your lounge room balanced by white timber and some metallic finishes. You can leverage your current key pieces with accessories with this style so mix it up with easy to style throw pillows, a floor rug or knitted blanket.

Bedroom styling

In the bedroom start with white linen and if you were a fan of the millennial blush last season, you can team your current blush cushions with grey and white quite easily. Alternatively, go bold with thick black or navy stripes for a more masculine look.

Kitchen Organisation

You don’t need a whole kitchen design overhaul to incorporate the Hamptons look into your kitchen. We suggest you think about white and green floral hydrangeas and vignettes in the corner of your benchtops or tea towels and blue vases for colour and texture.
