Melbourne’s property market continues its solid performance with a 79% clearance rate from a Super Saturday volume of nearly 1,000 reported auctions. There continues to be strong demand for family homes with young upsizing families and older downsizing families competing strongly against each other. 

We continue to assist many clients looking for a lifestyle change due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We purchased another property for a young upsizing family moving from suburban Bentleigh East to a good sized family home on a 1,500m block on Claremont Street in the coastal area of Mount Eliza for $1,531,950.

There continues to be many runaway results in the Melbourne marketplace. A house in Brighton East sold for $560,000 over reserve, with 6 bidders pushing the selling price well above expectations. The final price was $3,060,000
