One of the strongest auction results was for the townhouse at 11A Mary Street, Balwyn North which sold for $2,625,000. The turnkey property had a pool which was one of the features that attracted buyers as well as being ready to live in as it was only a few years old.

We continue to see strong results from Melbourne’s middle suburbs as seen with 1 Ipydene Court, Chadstone which sold for $1,4220,000. It sold for $230,000 over reserve with 3 bidders pushing for the keys.

There are definitely less runaway results now compared to Melbourne’s market last year. A house at 5 Hesleden Street, Essendon sold for $2,010,000 2with he 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home being in the Strathmore Secondary College zone on 760sq metres of land.
