First homebuyers continue to battle it out for single fronted properties in Melbourne’s inner suburbs. A first homebuyer paid $1,300,000 to beat another first homebuyer to a two bedroom home at 14 Ethel St in Brunswick East, paying $150,000 above the reserve.

Properties that a WOW factor in terms of location are always in strong demand. A house at 16 Golf Rd in Coburg North that backed on to Edgars Creek Parklands sold for $1,110,000. Four bidders pushed the property price $85,000 above the reserve, even the property needed a lot of work after being a rental property over nine years.
