Melbourne saw a quieter auction weekend with only 436 auctions and a consistent clearance rate of 77%. Many vendors delayed their campaigns with the Easter weekend last weekend and school holidays contributing to low auction numbers. Read all Melbourne’s auction results below.

One of the biggest auction results for the weekend was the sale of a large five bedroom house at 62 Nicholson St, Brunswick East. The property which was zoned for some good local schools sold for $2,530,000 despite being on a busy main road.

One of the most competitive auctions on the weekend was a unit which was gutted at 2/26 Lasiandra Avenue, Forest Hill which was sold for $495,000 in a hotly contested auction. There were eight bidders that pushed the price $170,000 or 52% over reserve, with a single first homebuyer beating another young couple to the keys.
