Market Update 3rd December 2024

Melbourne’s property market continued with its consistent performance with 860 reported auctions and a 78% clearance rate. The market performed similarly to the same time last year where there were 995 auctions with a 73% clearance rate. Read all Melbourne’s auction results below.

One of the strongest results of the weekend was the sale of 47 May St in Macleod. The four bedroom Californian Bungalow had been owned by the same family for over 40 years and sold to a young family. The property saw competitive bidding with four separate purchasers and in the end sold for $1,530,000, which was $200,000 above the reserve.

Another strong result on the weekend was the sale of 149 Maud St in Balwyn North. The four bedroom, two bathroom house on 724m2 was in the popular Balwyn High school zone. The property was quoted with $2,300,000 plus and sold well above this price quote with the sale price being $2,702,000.
