Melbourne saw another Super Saturday with 1006 auctions and a consistent clearance rate of 74%, as it was a big weekend with the Easter weekend coming up with expected low auction numbers. One of the strongest results on the weekend was the sale of 23 Compton St in Canterbury that sold for $4,001,800. The four bedroom two bathroom Georgian style home was on a good size 766m2 block of land.

Beachfront properties are prized real estate and a real blue chip long term investment . A house at 6 Turakina Avenue, Edithvale that backed onto the beach, sold for $3,265,000. Four bidders pushed the coastal home $160,000 over reserve.
