Market Update 4th March 2024

Melbourne’s property market passed another Super Saturday test as there was over 1,000 scheduled auctions and there was a 76% clearance rate from 748 auctions reported to date.  This is similar to last year’s market when the clearance rate was 77% from 779 auctions for the same weekend. One of the strongest auction results was the auction of 24 The Ridge, Canterbury which sold for $7,500,000. The large six bedroom, three bathroom original home on 1333m2 sold for a strong result for an original unrenovated home.

One of the biggest sales was seen in Northcote on the weekend at 21 Wakanui St which was sold for $300,000 above reserve.  The modern designer brand new property with a pool sold for $4,100,000 with interest from two competing buyers.
