Market Update 21st February 2024

Melbourne’s property market had another strong weekend with a 79% clearance rate from a larger volume of 675 auctions as we head into a big super Saturday of 1000 plus auctions next weekend. The market is performing stronger than last year where the clearance rate was 72% from 694 auctions.  Read all Melbourne’s auction results below.

One of the biggest auction results for the weekend was for a 1930’s art deco home at 32 Mount Ida Avenue, Hawthorn East.  The five bedroom two bathroom home on 591m2 sold for $3,446,000.

Family homes that are ready to move in to are in strong demand in Melbourne’s middle suburbs. Three bidders fought for 25 Tuck St in Cheltenham which sold for $1,351,000 which was more than $90,000 above reserve, with young families the dominant bidders.
