Melbourne’s property market continued its improving performance with a 80% clearance rate from a small volume of 601 auctions.  The clearance rate is consistently higher now than last year when it was 71% from a smaller volume of 555 auctions.  Read all the latest auction results below.

One of the strongest results on the weekend was for a two bedroom unit in Thomas Street, Brighton East which had a home office.  The property sold for $962,000, well above the $780,000 plus price guide with four bidders pushing hard.

The most expensive sale for the weekend was for an updated big family home in Wentworth Avenue, Canterbury.  The large five bedroom family home situated on an approximate 1074 sqm block sold for the most expensive price on the weekend of $5,200,000.
