Although Melbourne has some amazing homes, they will never compare to the following properties that have been listed in the top 10 most expensive properties in the world for 2015. It's fun to dream and look at these amazing properties in more detail:-

The Manor :- This property is located on the Holmby Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles,California and was constructed in 1988 for television producer Aaron Spelling. It has swimming pools, cinema halls, tennis court and a beauty salon and is the largest home in Los Angeles County.  It has been built in chateauesque style  It was recently purchased by heiress Petra Stunt who is the daughter of Formula One racing magnate Bernie Ecclestone. She purchased the home for $85 million after it had been on the market for two years with an asking price of $150 million, making it the most expensive residential real estate listing in the US.

 

Updown Court - This property is a Californian style residence that is located in the village of Windlesham in Surrey, England. Built in 2005, it was the most expensive private home on the market anywhere in the world having been listed for sale with estate agencies Savills and Hamptons International for in excess of £70 million (US$138 million). You enter Updown Court by a £2 million (3 million USD) heated marble driveway, it has 103 rooms with 24 of these being bedrooms each with its own marble en-suite bathroom. Other features include a fully automated two-lane bowling alley, five swimming pools including an Infinity pool, a squash court, a floodlit tennis court, a wine cellar with a capacity for 3,000 bottles and a panic room. The first floor is the main residential area, featuring eight generous bedroom suites, all en-suite.

London Penthouse - This penthouse is estimated to be worth $200 million dollars with views over Central London, a private wine-tasting facility and an underground passage to a Heston Blumenthal restaurant. It comes with high security including SAS trained body guards, a panic room, bullet proof windows and air purifier to protect against gas attacks It is spread over two floors with floor to ceiling glass windows and has 24 hour room service.  If high level security is what you are after, this is definitely your property!

 

 

Bran Castle - This castle is used for the royal families in Romania and has 57 rooms and 17 bedrooms. It is said to be the House of Dracula. The castle is now a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. Tourists can see the interior individually or by a guided tour. At the bottom of the hill is a small open air museum park exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures (cottages, barns, etc.) from across the country.
