Melbourne’s property market had a strong 76% clearance rate from 651 recorded auctions from over 900 scheduled auctions. This is an improvement from last year where the clearance rate was 70% from 1114 auctions. Read all Melbourne‘s auction results below.

The entry level end of the market continues to see strong results as was seen with the sale of 47 Preston Street in Fawkner which sold for $827,500. The property had six bidders and sold $67,500 above the $760,000 reserve, with a single mother winning the keys .

One of the strongest auction results of the weekend was the renovated older style property at 10 Ravenswood Avenue in Ivanhoe East. The four bedroom, two bathroom property on 590 m² of land sold for $3,322,000 after it was sold in 2014 for $1,500,000 and renovated.

Another solid result was a sale of 2 Haughton Court in Box Hill South where the renovated property sold for $2,405,000. The four bedroom two bathroom house on 649 m² was purchased by the owners for $860,000 back in 2007 and they then renovated it extensively.
